Accrisoft Freedom is a mature CMS that has a number of advantages over some of the popular open source applications. Typically on the low end of the CMS spectrum lies Wordpress and Joomla, while expensive products like Vingette lie at the other end. Accrisoft Freedom hits a nice sweet spot in the middle which makes it very flexible and suitable for many organizations who want the power and stability of a mature CMS, without the expense of one of the bigger products.

One of the nicest features of Freedom is it's centralized code base. The code is updated by Accrisoft on a regular basis and Solutions Providers can simply click a few buttons and upgrade their sites to the latest version. There is no headache of maintaining multiple code bases. They are all linked to the main server at Accrisoft.

Freedom gives designers a great deal of flexibility. Websites are designed by dropping in specialized tags that embed modular content, such as news blocks, events calendars, blogs, and page content. The design can be as unique as customized as the designer wishes.

The content management layer is very easy to use and can be learned in about an hour by even inexperienced users. It features a very simple layout and fairly consistent behavior across modules which makes it very easy to start using quickly.

Accrisoft support is sometimes a bit rocky, but it is steadily improving over time. They have a great team overall and will hopefully have the kinks worked out in the support area soon.
